Haven teamed up with the folks at the Golden Globe Awards for this amazing project that we poured our hearts into. From scoping and design, to build and development, to data migration and launch, we pulled it off in less than 12 weeks! The Golden Globes were previously stuck on an old Drupal system with a ton of tech debt, but after joining forces with PMC / DCP, they were ready for a fresh brand and online presence that not only looked modern but was also built and hosted on an up-to-date system to support future growth.
Golden Globes Glow-Up
Successfully transferring Award Data from 1944 to 2023, including comprehensive details on winners and nominees across various award categories such as movies, television, and songs, proved to be a seamless transition.
The migration also included a vast collection of over 53,000 media assets, encompassing videos and images. This migration was executed flawlessly, moving from Drupal to WordPress.
During the 81st Golden Globes live red carpet and show event, the website achieved remarkable success by efficiently streaming the event. This resulted in an impressive 2.4 million pageviews, all achieved without any downtime or lag for viewers, showcasing the website's robust performance.
